Godwin Etakibuebu is a creative Veteran Journalist of over 35 years’ experience, with high commitment to investigating, researching, writing, broadcasting and publishing; that cut across all strata – Print, Electronic and online Social Media, in the journalism industry. His authority in dissenting and analyzing topical issues; as he does on radio, television and print, is derived from his in-depth knowledge of both the Nigerian and global environment – a skill he sharpened from his early days as the Crime Editor (designated then as Head of Crime Bureau) of the Punch Newspapers in the early 80’s.
He is a classical Columnist, Author, Writer, Commentator and currently the Editor-At-Large of the second largest leading online Media in Nigeria – The News Guru (thenewsguru.com – TNG). He is also the host (The Guru) of the popular Radio show at Lagos Talk 91.3 FM, known as Sadiq & The Guru, reviewing topical issues weekly – Mondays, from 9:30 – 11am, to the delight of global listening audience.
He is author of books and many papers; one notable one is the book Anini: the Saga of an Armed Robber. Godwin Etakibuebu is happily married; a marriage that has spanned over Forty Years, to Caroline Etakibuebu, and are blessed with 4 children and many grandchildren.
